Tonite Tonite is an electrifying band hailing from Dallas, Texas. With Andres Negrete on vocals and guitar, Alex Negrete on bass, and Kavon Noorizadeh on drums, these gifted performers create music that transcends. Andres and Alex kindly joined Artist Spotlight to discuss their music and their ASCCNOW concerts to support cancer research.
What is the greatest inspiration for your songs?
Everyday conversations and or experiences with people.
Do you have a favorite song you have recorded or a song that is particularly dear to your heart?
'Me first' is a song that completely changed from the time we walked into the studio to the time we walked out. It was an amazing experience and we're all very proud of the outcome.
What is your all-time favorite song (by another artist)?
"Walk right back" by the Everly Brothers.
"Caress me down" - SUBLIME was a close second though....
Is there any artist you dream of performing with someday?
Cake or Radiohead
What message would you like your music to convey to the listener?
We'd like them to take what they can from it, it's open to expression and everyone's got their own opinion.

troubadour. lush. transcendent. dynamic. eerie.
Name five performers who have influenced you most as an artist.
Everly Brothers, The Beatles, Saves the Day, Jimmy Eat World, Ben Folds Five.
Can you tell us more about the charities you support?
Obviously ASCCNOW is something we strongly support and believe in. We are closely associated with The Spencer Bell Legacy and hope that more and more people become aware of these movements and take a stance and help out.
Which performance do you consider the highlight of your career, thus far?

What projects will you be working on this year? Any plans to tour?
We are releasing our debut full length later this year (release date as of now, is June 2010) ; We are also planning on a southwest, west coast tour and a possible slot opening for some pretty cool bands later this year as well.
